UNDERGROUND: NIGHT OF RAGE Friday 20 December - In
solidarity with the everyday acts of disobedience, a
call-out for actions and individual acts of defiance
 against those institutions enforcing control

OVERGROUND: DAYS OF DISOBEDIENCE Saturday 21 December -
Ideas include chaotic mass proletarian shopping. Dress
as Santa, steal from the rich and give presents to the
 kids. Just nick it...

DISOBEDIENT adj: Contrary, defiant, disorderly, unruly,
 insubordinate, mischievous, naughty, wayward, willful
Capitalist society relies on control. Control of your
movements, your desires, your work, where you live and
what you do. To these enforced controls we respond and
become disobedient. Be it by not going to work,
sabotaging machinery in your work place, not paying
your tube or train fare, stealing, shoplifting, not
paying taxes, refusing to accept what you see in the
news as truth, rebelling against your teachers, boss,
social worker, supervisor or the law.

Disobedience, on an individual level, is an act of
rebellion. On a collective level it becomes a tool of
liberation we can use to resist and reject authority
and to shape the future we want to live in.

By giving the everyday acts of disobedience against
capitalism a political consciousness, we act in a
solidarity that synthesises what constitutes direct
action and the politics of our everyday lives.

As Argentina tumbles further into the uncharted waters
of its financial crisis, an inspiring popular rebellion
has been spreading across the country. An ongoing
movement has developed that has become a living
laboratory of struggle, a space where the popular
politics of the future are being reinvented.

The rebellion exploded on December 20th 2001 when over
a million people took to the streets banging their pots
and pans and ousting the government. This year on 20th
December people in Argentina and across the globe are
calling for a Global Day of Action to demonstrate that
those who are building alternatives to the dictators
 are not alone.
