A-Infos (en) Turkey; Anti-War Demo & Anarchists

There were two "black" groups in the anti-war demo
organized in Istanbul-Caglayan yesterday (1st of
December): one heterogeneous group which was a
coalition of anarchists from Istanbul and elsewhere;
and in addition current Ozgur Hayat (former AGF) group
which is isolated by anarchist&anti-militarist groups
because of their violent acts against anarchists.

Ozgur Hayat group was carrying black-red, black-green
flags and 4-5 banners. They did not seem so much
different from the leftist groups with their style of
walking which showed them to look more crowded-in
definite rows and in "order" remaining some space
among; only difference was their color-"black".
Bogazici Autonom group was also walking with them.

The anarchist cortege which was formed by anarchists
not only from Istanbul also with participation from
Ankara, Bolu, Usak, Sakarya, Kocaeli and Antalya
carried two banners (on one of them: WE WILL NOT BE 
SOLDIERS OF ANYONE) and flags in black, black-red,
black-purple. Although it was not so cheerful as it
was expected, in number the crowd looked better than
the previous demos. 

According to some of the leftists' comments anarchists
seemed more "massive" in relation to the past. As
comrades from Greece (who came for the demo) told
there were about 300 people in total (150 for both) in
two separate groups.
