IWW from Warsaw has visited the gelatin factory in Brodnica
(between Torun and Olsztyn) which is occupied by a workers
committee. It used to be state owned, was sold to Grabek,
a "gelatin baron", but Grabek didn't fulfill his obligations
under the contract (about employment conditions and investments).
So about 6 months ago the workers have
"evacuated the bosses on wheelbarrows" (that's the polish way
of firing a boss), and continued production without them.
There have been threats of cutting supply from the government,
but none of this happened. Currently there are 2 law suits
against the workers and against the bosses.
