The battle about Czech state TV change to battle of politic party. "Rebels",
which told that they were protesting against politic pressure on news
service and then occupy the news room, are now supporting by another
right-wing politicians. Some of them came into the TV building and told that
they will protect the "rebels" by their body.
So, now there are two fractions supporting by two different right-wing party
in the state TV. Most of the "rebels" are journalist, which supported police
and police violence during demonstrations against IMF and WB meeting in
Prague this September. They shot many examples of unbelieve police violence,
but they stood on police side and didn't use this records. They also had
supported campaign against protesters before September actions.
One of leaders of the "rebels", Patrik Kaiser, shot street fight between
antifascist and neonazist on Prague Main train station during big
antifascist demonstration on 23rd September. Then he cooperate with police
and key one of the antifascist, J.R., member of FSA (Czech section of IWA).
The battle about TV isn't about freedom of speeches how the "rebels" say,
it's about power and money. However, the situation in the TV have started a
massive campaign supporting the "rebels." Because they were broadcasting
their own news during first days of their protest, they made hysterically
atmosphere. They told that freedom in Czech republic is endanger and many
people believe them. Supporting petition has more then 50.000 signs now.
There also were some supporting demonstrations, on which people scanned
slogans like "freedom, freedom." On this demonstrations gathered at least
4.000 people.
It's nice example of power of TV in this world.
