Join the Zapatista Peace Delegation with Schools for Chiapas!

February 2001

Purpose:
So that Maya children and their families in Chiapas, Mexico may
finally be able to attend their schools, work their lands, and live their

Introduction:
The first step toward peace with dignity in Chiapas is passage of the
Accords of San Andres by the Mexican legislature. During the month
of Feb. 2001 twenty-four leaders of the Zapatista revolt in Chiapas,
Mexico will travel to Mexico City to lobby for passage of the peace
agreement. These brave men and women have asked that Mexican

journey for peace. After years of building schools we know the
importance of ending the war in Chiapas.
